Why SPAIN will thrash Germany!!

Anyone who had seen how the Germans thrash England and Argentina are certain that the team under the leadership of Joachim Leow will march to the final. It wasnt easy whacking the English team to come up with a 4-1 victory nor was it easy to beat their favorite rival (Argentina) with a score of 4-0.

Looking from soccer logic perspective, the Germans are a hot favourite to eliminate SPAIN in the semi-final at Durban Stadium later today. Whats more, Spain seemed to struggle in their last match against a less weaker team, Paraguay. Not to forget their first game against the Swiss which they lost. If we are to compare Germany's and SPAIN's performance, the Germans are definitely more consistent and threatening. HOWEVER, the logic in soccer differ from one match to another.

So....... Does this mean that SPAIN will advance to the final? OF COURSE! But why Spain & not Germany?

Firstly, in any sports, the player or the team who struggles but still managed to advance forward, have special and extraordinary qualities that others dont. These qualities are normally associated with that of a Champion. Incase you forget, SPAIN has a reputation as the winner in Euro 2008.

Secondly, as long as the 2 key midfield creative players; Xavi Hernandez & Andreas Iniesta, continue to stay in top form, SPAIN will gurantee a place in the final looking at their playing style; passing game in which its similar to Barcelona's. As quoted by the German's coach, "SPAIN may not have Messi but they have players who can move like Messi, especially when attacking many of their players have the ability to change the course of the game."

Thirdly, Fernando Torres. No doubt the Liverpool player failed to score a goal like his fellow attacker; David Villa but we cannot deny that Torres is a quality player. A quality player can erupt at any time and Torres do not need to shine throughout the 90min game. A whiff of his achievement made Germany suffered like in the Euro 2008 final with Torres scoring the winning goal in the 33 min. Of all the great things about SPAIN, their only weakness is that they frequently make mistakes. Could this be the reason for their downfall? We shall see......
